Upon measurement on his 5 month birthday, Julian was just over 26 inches long, and closing in on 20 lb.

Unfortunately, he was a bit crabby the afternoon of his birthday, so you all get to see his cranky face.

he's our little nerd in the making, he very much enjoys being read to.


Someone at his daycare taught him to do this.

At 23 weeks old, we decided that Julian seemed ready to try solids. He'd been watching us eat with fascination for a few weeks, and even reaching out for our utensils and making chewing motions.


The rice cereal was not initially a huge hit, but he happily eats a few spoonfuls at dinner every night now.

Sometimes it doesn't all make it into his mouth.
